A white-and-gold mosque in Datu Odin Sinsuat, built in 2016, that holds more than 10,000 worshippers.
Masjid Al-Nasser Abpi, known as the White Mosque, was built in 2016 by the Abpi family, whose roots are in Datu Piang, Maguindanao del Sur. It stands on a 20,000-square-metre property and can hold more than 10,000 worshippers. The idea came out of a conversation among the Abpi siblings, and the mosque is named after one of them, Al-Nasser Abpi; it began as a small mosque and was later enlarged.
The design is minimalist, white and gold inside and out, and the caretaker says it was inspired by the mosque in Madinah. Mashrabiya and glass windows let in air while keeping out the sun. There are small rooms for worshippers staying overnight for i'tikaf, and the mosque is lent free of charge for markaz graduations and nikah weddings.
